# About Simmit

Simmit is a service that provides an API to run SimulationCraft on managed hardware. It's built and maintained by Voidly (`@voidlyx` on Discord) as a solo project.

It exists because running SimC on projects that can't run it locally usually means managing your own builds and compute. The goal with Simmit is to handle that part so your projects don't have to.

Simulation behavior, modeling, and result correctness come from the upstream [simulationcraft/simc](https://github.com/simulationcraft/simc) project. See [Contact](/docs/contact) for where to file SimC issues, and [Simc Builds](/docs/api/simc-builds) for info on the build process.
